AI & editorial policy

How we use AI responsibly and what is checked by humans.

What AI is used for

  • Drafting and harmonizing short descriptions (meaning summaries, variant lists).
  • Suggesting related names by origin/phonetics for exploration.
  • Helping translate UI text (FR/EN complete; DE/IT fallback EN).

What AI is not used for

  • No personal predictions, no “compatibility scores”, no medical/legal advice.
  • No pretending there is a single definitive meaning when sources differ.

Editorial checks

We focus on consistency: origin family, mainstream meaning, common variants, and pronunciation hints. When a detail is uncertain, we prefer cautious wording (“often”, “traditionally”).

Privacy

NameBloom is built as a lightweight reference site. Third-party scripts are kept minimal; analytics (if enabled) are used for aggregate traffic insights, not individual profiling.
