FAQ — FertiCycle

Answers about ovulation, due dates, week counting, and how to use the calculators.

This information does not replace medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for fertility or pregnancy questions.

How is ovulation calculated?
We estimate ovulation 14 days before the next expected period, based on cycle length. This is an approximation — cycles vary and ovulation can shift.
What is the fertile window?
The period when unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy. Sperm survives several days; the egg about 24 hours. We show a 6-day window centered on estimated ovulation.
How is the due date calculated?
From last period: Naegele's rule (+280 days). From conception: +266 days. IVF day-5: +261 days after transfer. Only a clinician can confirm your EDD.
Gestational weeks vs conception weeks?
Medical counting starts on the first day of your last period — before conception. That's why pregnancy is about 40 gestational weeks.
How reliable are the results?
These are educational estimates only. Irregular cycles, stress, conditions, or treatments can change ovulation and due dates. See an OB-GYN or midwife for personalized care.
Can I share my results?
Yes: after calculating, the URL contains your parameters. Copy the link to save or share (no personal data beyond the dates you entered).
